My entry was a finalist in the O Henry limerick contest, which sought entries on the theme of Texas. Here’s my limerick:
Cattle and oil beyond the gate,
brisket, ball, ‘n music–all first-rate,
pickups and Tesla cars,
Cowboys and movie stars,
We have ’em all in the Lone Star State.
